Singapore's First Joint Commemorative Pre-paid Envelope (Part 1) ...

Instead of joint commemorative stamp issue, this year, we have joint commemorative pre-paid envelope with China to mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. And the joint commemorative pre-paid envelope is Singapore's first. There was no launch in Singapore today since Singapore-China philatelic exhibition was held from 1-3 Oct to mark this special occasion.

In Singapore, the joint commemorative pre-paid envelopes from both Singapore and China (with cancellations from both countries) are sold at S$6 in a beautifully designed red folder (as below). The Singapore's pre-paid envelopes are also sold separately at S$3 whereas the China's are not sold separately.

Inside the folder, it contains joint commemorative pre-paid envelope from both Singapore and China (as below).

  1. I also purchased the set as well as one extra Singapore pre-paid envelope from Jurong Point post office this evening. The design is quite nice. http://wlphilately.blogspot.com/
