Many thanks Jean-Pierre for this nice cover sent from St Amand-Montrond, a commune in the Cher département of the Centre region of France ;-) This cover took 10 days to arrive in Singapore.
The stamp on the left showed Collonges-la-Rouge, a beautiful French village, located in the department of Corrèze and region Limousin, that was built entirely with red sandstone.
The stamp on the right showed La Conciergerie, which is a former royal palace and prison in Paris, near the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. It is part of the larger complex known as the Palais de Justice, which is still used for judicial purposes. Hundreds of prisoners during the French Revolution were taken from La Conciergerie to be executed on the guillotine at a number of locations around Paris.
